Maserati MC20 Cielo, the Modenese spider with the 630 HP V6:

The roofless supercar combines style and performance that promise a unique driving experience with the wind in your hair and the soundtrack of the 6-cylinder Neptune. Orders for the Maserati MC20 Cielo open in these hours and the base price is around 260,000 euros.

Starting from the exterior, the MC20 Cielo confirms all the aerodynamic and stylistic solutions of the coupé, including the vertically opening doors. The carbon monocoque has been updated to offer greater torsional stiffness due to the absence of the roof, while the layout of the engine compartment air intakes has been revised to optimize cooling and aerodynamic flows.

The dimensions remain unchanged, which remain 4.67 meters long, 1.97 meters wide (without mirrors) and 1.22 meters high.

Another of the absolute novelties is the debut of the Aquamarine color. Available in the Maserati Fuoriserie customization program, the color recalls the idea of open air and contact with the sky. In the color palette, however, you can also choose Incognito Gray, Bold White, Genius Yellow, Winning Red, Infinite Blue and Mystery Gray.

For the MC20 Cielo Maserati has chosen a formula that is anything but banal using an innovative retractable electric glass roof that opens in just 12 seconds, transforming the aesthetics of the super sports car.

The panel – says Maserati – is the largest of the entire supercar segment, with an area greater than half a square meter. What really attracts attention, however, is the PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) technology which, thanks to a command, allows you to change the transparency of the glass from totally black and opaque to transparent.

Under the hood of the Cielo there is always the 3.0 V6 Nettuno engine with 630 HP and 730 Nm of torque combined with the 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Thanks to the weight increase of only 65 kg compared to the coupe, the performance remains impressive, with a 0-100 km / h sprint of 3 seconds (0-200 km / h of 9.2 seconds) and a higher top speed at 320 km / h.

The base price of the Maserati MC20 Cielo is set at around 260,000 euros, which is almost 30,000 euros more than the MC20 coupé which has just reached the milestone of one thousand units produced and has a one-year waiting list.
